Biography:

Shai Sharvit is a partner at Herzog and one of Israel’s most distinguished practitioners in international arbitration. His practice focuses on complex cross-border disputes, where he acts as counsel, arbitrator, or expert across diverse sectors including construction, energy, infrastructure, corporate, licensing, and high-tech. Shai is ranked as a Global Elite Thought Leader in arbitration by Lexology and is the first Israeli to serve on the Court of the LCIA in its 129-year history.

He has acted under the rules of all major arbitral institutions (ICC, LCIA, ICSID, UNCITRAL, SCC, AAA-ICDR) and plays a prominent role in shaping arbitration policy and legislation in Israel and beyond. He served on UNCITRAL expert committees for technology and emergency arbitration, advised the Israeli Ministry of Justice on the 2024 adoption of the UNCITRAL Model Law, and is a frequent speaker at arbitration events worldwide.

Shai is a co-founder and Chair of Tel Aviv Arbitration Week and a faculty member at Tel Aviv University’s arbitration program. He is also a member of panels at the SIAC, CIETAC, and the Israeli Institute of Commercial Arbitration.
