Biography:

Dr. Daphna Avnieli is a retired judge of the Tel Aviv District Court and a leading figure in the Israeli legal community. With over 25 years of judicial experience, she presided over numerous landmark cases in commercial law, torts, and class actions. Today, she serves as an arbitrator and mediator in complex civil and commercial disputes, including international cases conducted in English.

Dr. Avnieli is the founder and head of the Institute of Legal Arts at the Tel Aviv University Faculty of Law, where she lectures on alternative dispute resolution. She is the author of two authoritative books on public officials’ immunity and is widely regarded for her clarity of thought, analytical rigor, and ability to guide parties toward resolution in challenging disputes.
