Biography:

Daniel Schimmel is a partner at Foley Hoag LLP in New York and a dual-qualified international arbitration lawyer in the United States and France. He has served as arbitrator and counsel in over 100 domestic and international arbitrations, including as chair, co-arbitrator, emergency arbitrator, and expedited arbitrator, in disputes involving amounts exceeding $350 million. Daniel represents global clients – including the Republic of France and major French corporates – in cross-border litigation and enforcement proceedings before US courts. He is also a member of a working group established by the French Minister of Justice to reform arbitration law in France.
