Bernard Hanotiau is the founding partner of Hanotiau & van den Berg, a boutique law firm specializing in international arbitration and litigation, with offices in Brussels and Singapore. With over 45 years of experience, he has been involved in hundreds of international arbitration cases as party-appointed arbitrator, chairman, sole arbitrator, counsel, and expert. Bernard is widely recognized as one of the most eminent figures in international arbitration, having served on tribunals governed by institutions such as ICC, LCIA, ICSID, SIAC, HKIAC, SCC, DIAC, and UNCITRAL. In addition to his extensive practice, he is Professor Emeritus at Louvain University and a visiting professor at NUS in Singapore and EPCL in Shanghai. Bernard has authored numerous influential books and articles, including “Complex Arbitrations: Multi-Party, Multi-Contract & Multi-Issue”.
